01 / TimingHow do I choose a release delay?
Think about when you usually haul your lobster or crab pots and when you want the protected bait released. As an example, a 3D unit opens three days after you close it. Your own delay can be set in hours or days, up to 30 days.
We programme that fixed preset before delivery. Each time you close the container, the same countdown starts again. If your fishing pattern changes, ask us about a different preset.
02 / FittingWhat should I check in my pot?
Choose a secure position inside your rectangular, D-shaped or WA batten creel, with clearance for the case to open. Check that the bait bag can drop without catching on a frame, bait slot or other fitting. Keep the tether clear of the moving case.

03 / Bait bagWhat happens to the bait bag?
Fill the reusable bait bag and place it inside the open Bait Container before setting your lobster trap, crab pot or creel. The bag remains enclosed during the countdown. At the preset time, the container opens and releases it into the gear.
When you haul, prepare the bag for the next set and close the container to start its preset delay again. The release runs automatically while the gear is down.
04 / PowerHow do I keep it ready?
The control box has up to four months of battery life, so it does not need charging between every trip. Recharge it wirelessly when needed. One wireless charger is supplied for every five Bait Containers ordered, and extra chargers are available.

How does the pricing work?
The Bait Container costs £37.99. Each container needs its own control box, supplied free at £0 when you buy a year’s release credits for £114.40. The annual credit pack always costs £114.40, whatever your delay. Longer delays include fewer releases at a higher equivalent cost per release. For example, 260 releases at 44p each and 130 releases at 88p each both cost £114.40. The 3-day allowance is 104 releases, equivalent to £1.10 each, and the 5-day allowance is 52 releases, equivalent to £2.20 each. Credits are valid for 12 months. Other allowances are calculated automatically using the existing five-day, 52-week fishing-year model.
Does each container need its own control box?
Yes. Every Bait Container set includes one dedicated control box and its own annual release pack. Ordering five sets includes five containers, five control boxes and five annual release packs. You do not need to add a replacement control box separately.
What is the Bait Container?
